What You'll Do
Develop high-quality training programs that align with learning goals using established design frameworks such as ADDIE, SAM, and Bloom’s Taxonomy. Translate complex information into accessible, instructionally sound content tailored to adult learners.
Conduct job and performance analyses to identify skill gaps and determine the most effective training approaches. Collaborate with subject matter experts, business leaders, and end users to ensure materials are accurate, relevant, and impactful.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives through data collection and analysis, then refine content based on feedback and performance outcomes. Present information using visually engaging methods that support comprehension and retention.
Support learning technology systems, including Learning Management Platforms, and assist with course updates, maintenance, and digital content publishing. Recommend delivery formats based on audience needs and technical capabilities.
Requirements
Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, along with 4–7 years of professional experience in instructional design for adult learners.
Demonstrated ability to manage training projects from concept to completion, including scope definition, time estimation, and execution. Strong analytical skills to interpret data and inform design decisions.
- Proficiency in graphic and interactive design tools including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, AfterEffects, InDesign), Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise), Snagit, Camtasia, and Canva or Venngage
- Experience with Microsoft Office, HTML, or application/game design is required
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
- Self-driven with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing demands
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Information Mapping or DocuTools is a plus. Completion of an instructional design program from a recognized organization such as ATD, The Learning Guild, or Langevin is also preferred.
