About the Role

The role involves managing complex government operations with a focus on state-level systems integration, process optimization, and regulatory adherence, requiring strong analytical skills and public sector experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation and maintenance of state government information systems
  • Coordinate with agency stakeholders to identify operational needs and challenges
  • Develop strategies to enhance system performance and data accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements
  • Manage cross-functional projects from planning through execution
  • Prepare detailed reports and briefings for senior officials
  • Evaluate existing workflows and recommend process improvements
  • Support integration of new technologies into legacy government systems
  • Facilitate training sessions for government personnel on system usage
  • Monitor system security protocols and recommend updates
  • Serve as primary point of contact for technical and operational inquiries
  • Maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures
  • Analyze data trends to inform policy and operational decisions
  • Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot system issues
  • Ensure data privacy standards are consistently applied
  • Manage timelines and deliverables for assigned initiatives
  • Conduct risk assessments for system changes and upgrades
  • Support audits and compliance reviews as needed
  • Promote interoperability between state and local government platforms
  • Stay current with advancements in public sector technology
  • Assist in drafting procurement requirements for technology services
  • Foster relationships with external vendors and contractors
  • Ensure accessibility standards are met in digital systems
  • Contribute to strategic planning for long-term system evolution
  • Support emergency response operations through system readiness

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree in public policy, information systems, or related area
  • Certification in project management (PMP or similar)
