What You'll Do
Shape and oversee the end-to-end global logistics sourcing strategy, covering sea freight, road transport, warehousing, and third-party logistics providers. Lead procurement initiatives from concept to contract, including RFx processes, negotiations, and final vendor recommendations. Define and execute category plans that align with broader supply chain goals, focusing on cost optimization, risk reduction, and operational resilience.
Establish performance standards for suppliers across key metrics such as on-time delivery, capacity reliability, and digital integration. Identify opportunities for consolidation, competitive bidding, and working capital improvements. Develop contracting frameworks that balance commercial value with risk mitigation across global logistics lanes. Guide a team of four regional category managers, ensuring alignment between local execution and global strategy.
Requirements
- 7–12 years of experience in global logistics procurement, with deep exposure to transportation modes including ocean, road, air, and rail
- Proven track record in managing large-scale 3PL and warehousing contracts
- Solid understanding of supply chain operations and procurement governance
- Experience leading complex, cross-border sourcing projects and supplier relationships
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in cost modeling and commercial negotiation
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across functions and regions
- Strategic thinker who can translate business needs into actionable category plans
