AECOM is hiring a Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialized geotechnical knowledge during site assessments, engineering design, and construction oversight.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional design teams and project leads to solve advanced geotechnical problems and protect project objectives.
  • Conduct and coordinate site investigation activities, including planning and fieldwork oversight.
  • Analyze and verify subsurface data to guide decisions on excavation, foundation systems, slope integrity, soil liquefaction, ground settlement, retaining structures, and soil enhancement techniques.
  • Partner with contractors, engineers, and multidisciplinary groups to manage unexpected ground conditions and maintain technical and structural integrity.
  • Assist construction teams with geotechnical methods, hazard evaluations, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
  • Build and maintain client relationships to support business development and future project acquisition.
