About the Role
This role involves leading FX trading operations, executing spot, forward, and options transactions, and maintaining accurate trade records. The individual will collaborate with risk, compliance, and treasury teams to support strategic financial objectives and ensure market efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Execute spot, forward, and FX options trades across multiple currency pairs
- Monitor global foreign exchange markets for pricing and volatility trends
- Manage daily trading book and assess exposure levels
- Ensure accurate trade booking and reconciliation processes
- Collaborate with treasury to align trading with cash flow needs
- Respond to client pricing requests and provide competitive quotes
- Maintain compliance with internal risk limits and regulatory standards
- Work closely with operations to resolve trade discrepancies
- Support month-end and quarter-end reporting cycles
- Identify opportunities to improve execution efficiency
- Track and report on trading performance metrics
- Assist in stress testing and scenario analysis for FX positions
- Stay current with geopolitical and economic developments affecting currencies
- Contribute to the development of trading strategies
- Participate in system enhancement initiatives for trading platforms
- Escalate unusual market activity or risk breaches promptly
- Ensure adherence to counterparty credit policies
- Maintain strong relationships with liquidity providers
- Provide training and guidance to junior team members
- Prepare ad hoc analyses for senior management
