Teleflex Incorporated is hiring a Senior Forecasting Scientist

About the Role

Teleflex Incorporated is hiring a Senior Forecasting Scientist to lead the evolution of our global demand and revenue signals. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end forecasting lifecycle—from developing sophisticated statistical models to leading the Consensus Planning process with Commercial and Finance partners. You will manage a small team of specialists, ensuring the statistical 'baseline' is sound while facilitating the 'human' overlay of market intelligence.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and refine advanced time-series and causal models to generate high-accuracy baseline forecasts for global business units.
  • Manage and mentor a small team of analysts, overseeing their technical output and professional development.
  • Lead monthly consensus cycles, collaborating with Commercial, Marketing, and Finance leads to integrate market insights into statistical models.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for forecasting technology (o9 Solutions), ensuring the platform's algorithms are tuned for maximum performance.
  • Align demand forecasts with Supply Chain and Manufacturing capacity planning to ensure optimal product availability.
  • Conduct deep-dive Forecast Value Add (FVA) analysis to identify process or model failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Translate complex statistical outputs into clear, actionable business stories for senior leadership.

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Data Science, or Operations Research.
  • 5+ years of experience in demand forecasting, specifically within Revenue and Supply Chain contexts.
  • Expert proficiency in Python or R for time-series analysis (e.g., ARIMA, Prophet, XGBoost, or Deep Learning for forecasting).
  • Experience with Enterprise Planning tools—experience with SAP IBP, Kinaxis, or Blue Yonder is expected.
  • Proven ability to 'speak the language' of Sales and Marketing to extract qualitative insights for the forecast.
  • Prior experience managing direct reports or leading significant cross-functional project teams.
  • Proficiency in Power BI or Tableau to visualize forecast accuracy and bias trends.

Nice to Have

  • Masters in a quantitative field or an MBA with a heavy emphasis on Supply Chain Analytics.
  • Medical Device or Pharma experience is a significant plus.
  • Experience with o9 Solutions is a major advantage.

Technical Stack

  • Python, R, o9 Solutions, SAP IBP, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, Power BI, Tableau

Team & Environment
