Egis Group is hiring a Senior Flooding & Stormwater Engineer

About the Role

This role involves leading the development and implementation of stormwater and flood risk management systems, ensuring compliance with environmental standards and supporting resilient urban planning.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and analysis of stormwater drainage systems
  • Conduct flood risk assessments for urban and rural developments
  • Prepare technical reports and feasibility studies for infrastructure projects
  • Support sustainable urban drainage system (SuDS) implementation
  • Model hydrological and hydraulic behavior using industry software
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on large-scale development projects
  • Ensure designs meet regulatory and environmental compliance requirements
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support staff
  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, and public agencies
  • Review site plans and engineering drawings for accuracy and efficiency
  • Develop erosion and sediment control strategies
  • Contribute to climate adaptation and resilience planning
  • Oversee field inspections and construction monitoring
  • Integrate green infrastructure solutions into stormwater designs
  • Support emergency response planning for flood events
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulations
  • Assist in proposal writing and project scoping
  • Coordinate with local authorities on permitting and approvals
  • Promote innovation in water-sensitive urban design
