Lead financial control and reporting for two international operating companies, each with legal entities spanning multiple jurisdictions. This role is central to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, supporting compliance, and enabling scalable reporting as the organization expands.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end financial reporting, including monthly consolidation and elimination processes across entities
- Prepare and deliver consolidated annual financial statements and coordinate external audit procedures
- Verify the accuracy of profit and loss accounts and balance sheet items through detailed substantiation
- Oversee intercompany reconciliations and ensure proper transfer pricing documentation
- Process adjusting entries, including those related to deferred revenue and complex transactions
- Maintain the chart of accounts and lead timely period-end closing activities
- Produce statements of changes in equity and support dividend reporting
- Collaborate with external tax advisors and engage with tax authorities as needed
- Develop and refine internal reporting policies, documentation, and control frameworks
- Optimize month-end close procedures in a multi-currency, multi-entity environment, including cost allocations and internal controls
- Configure and enhance the accounting system to meet internal standards, working closely with software providers
- Standardize accounts payable workflows in line with VAT and Dutch tax regulations
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of professional accounting experience
- Background in a Big Four firm or a publicly traded company, particularly with US GAAP or IFRS exposure
- Formal accounting certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or recognized local equivalent), or equivalent experience
- Proven ability to coordinate financial processes, especially month-end close and audit cycles
- Hands-on experience configuring financial systems and leading system migrations
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
