Opus Agency is hiring a Senior Event Manager, Expo Activations & Operations Manager

As the Senior Event Manager, you will oversee end-to-end operations for expansive expos, managing complex logistics across a 365,000-square-foot environment. You'll coordinate build schedules, vendor deliveries, booth setups, and staffing plans, ensuring every detail aligns with event goals and safety standards. Working closely with high-profile partners and internal teams, you'll serve as the central point for operational coordination, translating strategic plans into flawless execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct daily planning and logistics for large expo spaces, including coordination of materials, technology, and vendor timelines.
  • Serve as the main contact for operational stakeholders, including sponsors, exhibitors, and venue teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Oversee the deployment of AV systems, signage, internet infrastructure, carpeting, and booth structures to meet event requirements.
  • Lead onsite teams during event setup, live operations, and breakdown, providing real-time guidance and problem-solving.
  • Monitor progress against deliverables, anticipate challenges, and implement solutions to maintain schedule integrity.
  • Conduct post-event reviews to gather insights, assess performance, and recommend process improvements.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience managing large-scale expos, trade shows, or complex event operations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple logistical streams under tight deadlines and evolving conditions.
  • Strong communication skills with a track record of engaging diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Willingness to travel for extended onsite periods, including during holiday weeks, with a passport valid for international travel.
  • Familiarity with event technology platforms used for exhibitor management, scheduling, and coordination.

Work Environment & Benefits

This is a full-time hybrid role with flexibility in scheduling. Work locations include remote settings, Beaverton, and Seattle. The position requires significant onsite presence during key event phases, including extended stays in locations such as Las Vegas.
