As a Solutions Consultant, you will lead discovery initiatives and design customized technology strategies for government clients. This role plays a pivotal part in aligning agency missions with scalable software solutions, working closely with revenue, product, and services teams to shape opportunities that deliver measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end discovery for public sector opportunities, identifying goals, constraints, and decision criteria
- Collaborate with sales teams to qualify deals, map stakeholder landscapes, and align solutions with customer priorities
- Conduct structured pre-sales sessions with government leaders to uncover success metrics and operational challenges
- Develop and present solution narratives that connect technical capabilities to mission-critical outcomes
- Translate customer requirements into clear, value-driven proposals that highlight economic impact
- Partner with cross-functional teams to validate solution designs and proactively identify implementation risks
- Refine internal playbooks and frameworks using real-world deal insights
- Share market intelligence to influence product strategy, messaging, and field readiness
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years in a presales or solutions engineering capacity, preferably in SaaS environments
- Proven track record in net-new and expansion sales cycles
- Experience leading discovery workshops, crafting solution demos, and shaping positioning in complex sales
- Ability to build financial justifications, including ROI analysis and cost-of-inaction assessments
- Strong communication skills across technical and executive audiences
- Proficiency in creating structured solution designs using narratives, visuals, and templates
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft Teams, and collaborative sales platforms
- Demonstrated consultative approach with a focus on public sector transformation

- Experience selling into state, local, or federal government agencies
Work Environment
This is a remote-first role with a globally distributed team. The position supports flexible scheduling and is open to candidates in the United States, Canada, the UK, India, Armenia, Australia, and New Zealand.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is USD $100,000 to $110,000, with eligibility for performance bonuses.
