Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a Senior Engineer, Scientist, or Technical Officer to join the Inspection Technology & Development – Fuel Channel NDE Projects team within our Advanced Inspection & Maintenance (AIM) division. Reporting to the Manager Projects, you will provide critical technical evaluations and strategic advice, solve complex problems, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to support the reliable operation of our power generation facilities.
What You'll Do
- Lead projects, develop work plans, and track execution to comply with demanding industry regulations and standards.
- Act as a technical expert within your assigned discipline(s), providing advice to support OPG operations and contributing to committees and task forces.
- Stay current with the latest developments in your field through technical publications and engagement with research, industrial, and educational bodies.
- Maintain written documented processes and procedures to reflect improved methods and system additions.
- Collaborate with field teams for the planning and execution of testing.
- Lead projects and studies involving nonstandard requirements, providing work direction to technician and technical/engineering staff.
- Develop work plans, determine resource requirements, balance workloads, coordinate with other groups, adapt to changing priorities, and anticipate and resolve problems.
- Produce reports, documents, and presentations to communicate the results of studies and field tests.
- Perform other duties as required.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Applied Science (Mechanical, Electrical, Metallurgy, Civil).
