OPG is hiring a Senior Strategy Analyst

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support teams in assessing major corporate projects and strategic opportunities by analyzing technical, economic, and financial alternatives and contributing to investment or divestment business cases.
  • Advise business units on developing business cases and lifecycle plans, review submissions, and provide recommendations for approval to senior management.
  • Assist in preparing regulatory rate filings to the Ontario Energy Board, including developing evidence, responding to inquiries, and supporting testimony under managerial direction.
  • Contribute to cross-functional teams focused on depreciation analysis, benchmarking, electricity planning, reliability assessments, market design, financial modeling, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct in-depth financial and strategic analyses, prepare detailed reports, presentations, and recommendations for corporate investment initiatives.
  • Maintain and oversee the corporate Investment Management Framework, including associated processes, tools, and compliance with financial and project governance standards.
  • Offer expert guidance on investment and strategic decisions involving operational, financial, environmental, health, safety, or public relations impacts.
  • Deliver training and support for Investment Management processes, systems, and tools, and perform additional duties as needed.
