About the Role

Parsons Transportation Group is looking for a Senior Engineer to perform a variety of environmental engineering tasks by applying standard scientific and engineering principles. You will be part of our Federal Solutions team, leading field teams and executing projects with health and safety as the top priority.

What You'll Do

  • Perform a variety of office tasks requiring the application of standard scientific and engineering principles.
  • Lead field teams by planning, organizing, and directing the work under the supervision of the Project Manager.
  • Perform independent field work and gather all types of field data pertinent to the assigned project.
  • Execute field projects with health and safety as the top priority.
  • Analyze and interpret environmental sample analysis results within the context of the geological setting.
  • Develop materials and complete work plans or reports with some technical oversight.
  • Assist in preparation of proposals and cost estimates and in soliciting bids from subcontractors/suppliers.
  • Work with project managers, using interpersonal and organizational skills, to ensure projects are completed on time and budget.
  • May provide technical supervision or guidance to lower-level geologists, engineers, or environmental scientists.
  • May manage site investigation projects of varying size.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 8 to 10 years of related work experience.

Nice to Have

  • A master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Certification as a professional engineer.
  • 8 to 10 years of environmental consulting work experience with a mix of office and field experience.
  • Familiarity with related environmental rules and regulations (such as CERCLA, RCRA, etc.).
  • Ability to work in a fully remote work arrangement.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to and from field locations up to 25% of the time.

  • Salary Range: $86,700.00 - $151,700.00
