Omada Health is hiring a Senior Employment Counsel to serve as a key member of our growing Legal team. You will provide strategic and practical legal advice on a wide range of employment matters, design scalable policies and processes for compliant growth, and partner with cross-functional leaders to help manage the company’s benefit plans.
What You'll Do
- Advise on all aspects of employment law, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour, accommodations, leaves of absence, and compensation practices.
- Ensure company-wide compliance with employment laws and regulations; provide timely updates on legislative and regulatory changes.
- Manage and advise on employee relations matters, internal investigations, and disciplinary actions in partnership with the People team.
- Draft, review, and maintain employment documents and templates such as offer letters, employment agreements, employee handbooks, codes of conduct, and separation agreements.
- Collaborate with HR to develop, implement, and update employee policies and training.
- Advise on performance management, disciplinary actions, and termination decisions, including reductions in force.
- Oversee, manage, and develop strategies for employment-related litigation and disputes; partner with and own outside counsel relationships.
- Partner with regulatory counsel and HR on ERISA compliance and management of the company’s benefits plans.
What We're Looking For
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
- 7-9 years of experience practicing employment law.
- Demonstrated expertise with federal employment law (including FLSA, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, Title VII, etc.) and state employment law (California preferred).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills; able to demonstrate good, practical judgment and client counseling skills.
- Ability to distill complex legal concepts into clear, succinct, and pragmatic advice for cross-functional partners; adept at counseling non-lawyers on sensitive issues.
- High ethical standards and sound judgment; able to handle confidential employee matters with discretion and integrity.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Nice to Have
- Mix of law firm and in-house experience.
- Experience supporting high-growth or emerging growth companies.
- Familiarity with AI laws related to employment.
- Specific expertise in California and/or New York employment law.

Compensation: California, New York State and Washington State: $197,800 - $247,300; Colorado: $189,200 - $236,500; Other states may vary. + equity grants.
