Responsibilities
- Produce precise, cost-effective, and strategic bid proposals for electrical projects of varying complexity.
- Evaluate request for quotation documents, request for proposal packages, and bidding invitations to determine project scope, risks, and practicality.
- Oversee estimating workflows, deadlines, and scheduling to align with both immediate and strategic business goals.
- Engage directly with clients to clarify project parameters, resolve gaps, discuss pricing, and foster lasting partnerships.
- Structure and coordinate tasks efficiently, establishing achievable project plans.
- Prepare contract attachments, scope definitions, and bid support materials.
- Lead internal review sessions to validate estimates and ensure accuracy.
- Establish, record, and implement reasonable assumptions during early-stage estimating phases.
- Support project handover and initiation meetings as necessary.
- Deliver detailed cost analyses, expense breakdowns, and strategic insights to executive management.
- Participate in site visits and identify discrepancies between plans, specifications, and bidding criteria.
- Design and conduct training programs, providing mentorship to junior estimators when required.
- Safeguard sensitive data including pricing models, bid details, and internal company information.
- Monitor bidding outcomes, maintain updated estimate records, and conduct client follow-ups.
- Complete additional tasks as needed to support departmental and organizational objectives.
