About the Role
This role involves leading electrical design efforts for large-scale infrastructure, ensuring compliance with technical standards, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing expertise across project lifecycles from concept through construction.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of electrical system designs for transportation, facilities, or utility projects
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations
- Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for electrical infrastructure
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and structural engineers on integrated solutions
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables for electrical components
- Review contractor submittals and provide technical feedback
- Perform field inspections and support construction administration
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
- Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders
- Apply knowledge of power distribution, lighting, and control systems
- Utilize CAD and BIM software for design and documentation
- Lead design reviews and risk assessments
- Support sustainable design practices and energy-efficient solutions
- Prepare bid documents and support procurement activities
