Gilead Sciences, Inc. is looking for a Senior Director, PDM Operations Management to support the success of our Pharmaceutical Development and Manufacturing (PDM) organization. This role leads a team focused on cross-functional non-GMP programs and systems that impact how PDM works, driving meaningful improvements to the experience of working in PDM.
What You'll Do
- Lead a team responsible for organizing non-GMP information across PDM.
- Manage individual contributors overseeing new hire onboarding, the PDM intern program, and the PDM rotational program.
- Manage an individual contributor responsible for Planisware (G.Plan) adoption and iteration for enterprise timeline management and resource forecasting.
- Manage an individual contributor responsible for product portfolio reporting and analytics.
- Set strategy for the PDM Operations team and lead the group to deliver more than the sum of its parts.
- Serve as a lead interface with leaders across PDM as a valuable thought partner.
- Lead, coach, and develop team members at various career levels.
What We're Looking For
- A degree in life sciences or a relevant business area with 14+ years of varied post-graduation experience in Pharmaceuticals, Biosciences, or a related industry. Or, an MS with 12+ years of relevant experience, or a PhD with 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience leading cross-functional biopharma strategic initiatives.
- Experience identifying and prioritizing projects to focus on delivery of benefits.
- Experience leading a team.
- Strong SharePoint skills.
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Solid understanding of current industry trends.
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex and complicated situations and to strip out complications.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organization.
- Leadership qualities include: collaboration, communication, accountability, cross-functional engagement and influence, executive presence, goal setting and performance management.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation Range: $243,100.00 - $314,600.00
- Discretionary annual bonus.
- Discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary by role).

This is a local-city role based in Foster City, California.
