About the Role

Apogee Therapeutics is hiring a Senior Director, KOL and Advocacy Engagement to join our commercial organization. In this senior role, you will identify and cultivate professional relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the Atopic Dermatitis (AD) community and with national/international patient advocacy groups. Your work will directly support commercial and marketing strategy, messaging, and educational needs through strategic leadership of initiatives like advisory boards and congress planning.

What You'll Do

  • Identify, develop, and maintain professional relationships with international, national, and regional Dermatology and Allergy KOLs to generate insights and manage consulting opportunities.
  • Lead commercial KOL influence-mapping by developing profiles and objective-based engagement plans for each assigned KOL.
  • Solicit, monitor, and interpret KOL insights through compliant, field-based interactions on disease and treatment management patterns.
  • Act as a liaison between KOLs and internal cross-functional partners at Apogee.
  • Compliantly align with field partners like Medical Affairs on strategic initiatives with shared KOLs.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to provide insights for refining positioning, disease campaigns, and educational messaging.
  • Develop and execute strategies for KOL congress participation, including commercial KOL meetings and speaker selection.
  • Support the identification of KOLs for a national speaker bureau.
  • Strategically assess the execution of the speaker bureau, including program effectiveness, speaker training, and content evolution.
  • Compliantly lead the planning and execution of Apogee commercial advisory boards, from advisor identification to meeting content.
  • Operate to the highest ethical and compliance standards, ensuring all KOL interactions follow commercial, regulatory, and legal guidelines.
  • Compliantly work with National and International Patient advocacy groups on sponsorships and support initiatives.
  • Assist with the design and execution of market research projects or other marketing initiatives as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding expectations.
  • Patient and customer centricity, fostering valued KOL relationships through active listening and insight assimilation.
  • Ability to influence for impact, building credibility, trust, and influence with KOLs.
  • Strategic mindset to anticipate and interpret KOL beliefs to support commercial strategy.
  • Collaboration skills to build trusted relationships with cross-functional partners.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to present to large and small audiences.
  • Excellent product and disease fluency, with the ability to develop deep therapeutic area knowledge.
  • Strategic, passionate, self-starter who takes initiative and leads through change, ambiguity, and complexity.
  • Drives results by setting, communicating, and adjusting priorities to meet business objectives.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry laws and regulations, with a history of ethical and compliant behavior.
  • Must work well in large and small teams and be comfortable working remotely.
  • Position requires up to 50% travel, including in-person attendance at company-wide meetings and industry conferences.

Nice to Have

  • Advanced life science degree.
  • Marketing or clinical experience in dermatology or a related therapeutic area.
  • Deep knowledge of dermatology clinics, including referral patterns and networks.
