Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of risk management strategies for corn and feed grains, aligning with organizational goals and translating vision into measurable actions.
  • Foster a highly engaged work environment that values collaboration, learning, and ongoing improvement, while overseeing employee training and succession planning.
  • Mentor direct reports by sharing expertise, setting clear objectives, and establishing individual growth plans.
  • Design and deploy strategic growth initiatives, including new programs, tools, and systems, to advance business objectives and track performance through defined KPIs.
  • Execute long-term growth strategies by integrating innovative methodologies and business systems, with continuous monitoring of key performance indicators to enhance profitability.
  • Analyze market conditions and carry out grain trading activities, using futures contracts to mitigate risk and improve supply chain margins.
  • Deliver high-quality service to clients through marketing teams or direct engagement, maintaining current relationships while expanding into new market opportunities.
  • Promote ethical conduct by ensuring adherence to regulations governing commodity derivatives across all team operations.
  • Resolve transaction-related issues in coordination with internal partners such as accounting, logistics, shippers, and buyers.
  • Apply forward-looking insights from global market trends, data analytics, and emerging technologies to guide trading decisions.
  • Oversee international commodity movements and cross-market risk management, working closely with global counterparts.
  • Prepare annual business plans, financial forecasts, and budgets for profit centers, defining risk parameters within corporate guidelines.
  • Ensure consistency between regional and global trading strategies for feed grains and corn portfolios.
