CHS Inc. is hiring a Senior Director, Commodity Trading to oversee our feed grains and corn product line. You will be responsible for the global supply chain and end-to-end margins, serving as a critical link to grain markets worldwide. This role is onsite at our global headquarters in Inver Grove Heights, MN.
What You'll Do
- Lead and coordinate the trading risk management strategy for corn and feed grains, providing clear direction.
- Establish a culture of high engagement that promotes teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Develop direct reports through knowledge sharing, goal setting, and development plans.
- Develop and implement strategic growth plans, including new programs and business systems.
- Conduct market analysis, execute grain trading strategies, and trade futures to manage risk.
- Provide exceptional customer service, maintain the existing customer base, and identify new opportunities.
- Uphold integrity by ensuring team compliance with commodity derivatives rules and regulations.
- Resolve transactional escalations with key stakeholders like accounting, transportation, shippers, and buyers.
- Adopt a forward-thinking approach using data analytics and market intelligence for trading decisions.
- Provide strategic oversight of global commodity flows, risk management, and coordination with global teams.
- Develop annual business plans, budgets, and forecasts for profit centers.
- Ensure global alignment of trading strategy for the feed grains/corn product line.
What We're Looking For
- High School diploma or GED.
- 10+ years of experience in commodity trading.
- Prior leadership experience with progressively advancing level of leadership responsibilities.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Ag Business, Ag Economics, or another business-related program.
- 15+ years of experience in grains commodity trading.
- 10+ years of experience in Profit and Loss (P&L) management with a proven track record of financial performance.
- Experience executing large, multi-functional, and cross-organizational assignments and influencing leaders.
- Experience working with global teams.
- Experience conducting market analysis, negotiating and closing contracts.
- Experience adopting new technology and systems.

Compensation includes a base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions.
