Gartner, Inc. is hiring a Senior Director, Analyst - AI & Agentic Systems in Digital Workplace Applications (Remote US)

About the Role

Gartner’s Business and Technology Insights group is looking for a Senior Director, Analyst focusing on AI and agentic systems within digital workplace applications. In this role, you will serve as a credible industry voice, shaping perspectives on the transition from AI experimentation to realizing measurable business value. You will lead collaborative research and deliver actionable analysis on major enterprise AI assistant and agentic vendors.

What You'll Do

  • Create innovative, thought-provoking, and highly leveraged 'must-have insights' content.
  • Develop new insights through thought leadership and offer compelling, actionable approaches to client needs.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to identify root causes of client barriers and reframe thinking to advance strategy.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in establishing insights positions across a team of analysts.
  • Bring provocative, independent insights to Gartner leaders that can evolve research agendas.
  • Research, analyze, and predict market trends and shifts to provide clients and vendors with actionable insights.
  • Provide clients and prospects with actionable advice via virtual or face-to-face interactions.
  • Create and deliver high-value presentation materials for Gartner events, industry conferences, and client briefings.
  • Support BTI and Sales by serving as the voice of the market to drive client engagement.
  • Provide high-quality and timely content peer review.
  • Build credibility as an industry expert to represent Gartner's insights, methodology, and strategy.
  • Actively participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions, collaborating effectively with peers.
  • Identify research process improvements or develop new processes to enhance team service delivery.
  • Mentor and coach more junior team members.
  • Maintain a client-centric approach, actively seeking to help clients engage regularly with Gartner insights.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ years of relevant field or industry experience.
  • Experience and expertise in the technology market, major vendors and products (e.g., Microsoft’s M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Foundry and Agent 365; Google’s Gemini Enterprise and Vertex AI; Open AI’s ChatGPT Enterprise and Agent Kit).
  • Experience and expertise in digital workplace and end-user computing modernization, with a specific focus on AI integration.
  • Experience and expertise in managing AI systems architecture, implementation, integration, and orchestration processes.
  • Experience and expertise in evaluating and embedding AI governance and risk controls for secure, enterprise-wide adoption.
  • Demonstrated executive presence and ability to establish credibility with executives and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to work under tight deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables.
  • Excellence in research and writing ability.
  • Strong written and verbal proficiency, analytical and presentation skills; ability to engage clients and respond effectively to questions.
  • Proficient in analyzing and synthesizing data; can effectively apply patterns and frameworks while drawing and defending conclusions.
  • Strong communicator who can explain complex concepts concisely and simply.
  • Subject matter expert comfortable presenting at large and small-scale speaking engagements.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Deep knowledge of the global and competitive landscape within the subject area.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across multicultural global teams and supporting others' workflow.
  • Learning agile and adept at navigating highly matrixed environments.
  • Ability to represent Gartner's research methodology and strategies effectively at all levels.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.

This role is part of the Enterprise Applications team for IT Leaders and Technical Professionals within Gartner's Business and Technology Insights group.

  • Highly competitive compensation, ranging from $172,000 to $202,500 USD annually.
