Pfizer is hiring a Senior Director, Advanced Medical Engagement Lead to join our U.S. Field Medical organization. Reporting to the Advanced Medical Solutions Team Leader, you will provide consultative leadership to assess, develop, and implement complex collaborative projects and non-interventional studies. This strategic role requires working cross-functionally across multiple field and HQ functions to achieve project success.
What You'll Do
- Maintain excellent cross-functional communication and working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders to advance projects and studies.
- Strategically partner across Pfizer stakeholders to engage healthcare organizations on complex, innovative initiatives, including non-interventional studies.
- Assess strategic priorities and provide subject matter expertise on aligning and achieving strategic imperatives.
- Advise stakeholders such as field account teams on project direction.
- Provide expertise on appropriate conduct and documentation to minimize risk and ensure adherence to Pfizer policies and Good Clinical Practice.
- Provide strategic input, support, and guidance for collaborative medical engagements, including initial assessment, triaging opportunities, and feasibility.
- Provide direction in advanced data analytics including artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and predictive analytics within projects.
- Advise project/study teams on activities related to execution, budget and direction.
- Guide study operations and data management support for relevant activities.
- Lead conversations to improve efficiency and drive value by proposing solutions and acting as a change agent.
- Advise commercial field account team colleagues and leadership on project direction and feasibility.
- Work collaboratively with commercial colleagues to guide or develop strategies and solutions.
- Contribute medical insights to commercially led projects.
- Work cross-functionally across medical affairs to develop viable strategies designed to expand the body of evidence.
- Advise leadership on external and internal challenges, market dynamics and needs in complex collaborations.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify and qualify opportunities for collaboration with healthcare organizations.
- May serve on the Intake Committee or other committees.
- Provide strategic input and identification, qualification, development and execution of innovative solutions.
- Provide input and coordination on strategic, tactical and compliance areas with both internal and external partners.
- Work with stakeholders from various sources to strategically manage resources.
- Contribute to an engaged and effective work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Terminal Doctorate Degree, PharmD or PhD.
- Graduated from a U.S. accredited Healthcare Program, College of Pharmacy, or equivalent.
- 7+ years of relevant experience including clinical patient care, quality improvement, medical account management, Health Economics & Outcomes Research.
- Strong methodological skills in study design, data analysis, and interpretation.
- Experience leading a matrix organization with the ability to manage without direct authority.
- Demonstration of strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify alternative scenarios and develop pragmatic recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication influencing skills to address leadership and external audiences.
Nice to Have
- 10+ years pharmaceutical medical account management.
- Field Medical experience strongly preferred.
- Residency, clinical and/or management experience preferred.
- Advanced data analytics and outcomes research experience strongly preferred.
- Track record of developing technology and data partnerships that unlock value.
- Ability to network and build partnerships/collaborations with external parties, often at senior levels of healthcare organizations.
