Slingshot Aerospace is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer for a full-time, remote role. You will design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, manage CI/CD pipelines, and ensure the performance and security of production systems.
What You'll Do
- Partner with offshore and onshore engineering teams to design, implement, and scale infrastructure for a new customer portal and platform refactoring.
- Architect, build, and maintain Kubernetes-based environments for production systems.
- Lead Infrastructure as Code initiatives, primarily with Terraform, to automate provisioning across AWS.
- Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment velocity and developer experience.
- Integrate and operationalize MLOps practices for machine learning workflow deployment and lifecycle management.
- Embed DevSecOps best practices, incorporating security controls and compliance into the development lifecycle.
- Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual processes and increase system reliability.
- Collaborate closely with Platform, Engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and improve architecture.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements for availability and cost efficiency.
- Support incident response and root cause analysis, driving long-term fixes.
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools and practices, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience with Software Development, including scripting and programming for automation.
- Strong understanding of Continuous Integration and deployment pipelines.
- Expertise in System Administration, including network configuration and troubleshooting.
- Extensive experience with Linux systems, including performance optimization and security management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with ML Ops.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

- Salary range: $136,000-$237,000
