About the Role
This position bridges design and engineering, requiring a deep understanding of user experience principles and front-end development. The ideal candidate will own product features from concept through implementation, working closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to deliver polished, accessible solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of complex user interface components
- Translate design mockups into responsive, accessible code
- Collaborate with product teams to define feature requirements
- Advocate for usability and accessibility standards across the product
- Mentor junior team members in design and engineering practices
- Participate in user research and usability testing sessions
- Iterate on product features based on user feedback and data
- Maintain consistency across design systems and codebases
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Contribute to front-end architecture decisions
- Optimize applications for performance and scalability
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
- Work within agile development cycles
- Balance user needs with technical constraints
- Support QA processes with thorough testing practices
- Identify and resolve design-system inconsistencies
- Drive improvements in developer and designer workflows
- Stay current with evolving web standards and tools
- Integrate analytics to inform design decisions
- Communicate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
