MyFlorida is seeking a Senior Dentist to serve as the clinical lead for the DOH-Okaloosa Dental Program. In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery and quality of dental services, upholding our mission to protect, promote, and improve the health of all people in Florida.
What You'll Do
- Provide comprehensive dental services including examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, and care of conditions within the human oral cavity.
- Perform diagnostic, preventive, restorative, and minor surgical procedures within the scope of the dental practice act.
- Develop treatment plans and maintain treatment records in accordance with the dental practice act.
- Oversee treatment standards, quality, and productivity of subordinates.
- Support the Dental Program Manager by overseeing and guiding the professional work of dental assistants and hygienists.
- Coordinate and direct the clinical portion of dental services provided by the department.
- Monitor quality of care to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
- Assure compliance of all dental record documentation with federal and state law and FDOH Bureau of Dental Program expectations.
- Establish and promote population-based dental preventive and educational programs and related dental public health activities.
- Collaborate with the Dental Clinic Manager to promote community and school-based preventive educational programs.
- Provide consultative and technical assistance to public and private entities regarding oral health issues.
- Serve as the Florida Licensed Dentist for dentists awarded the Florida Temporary Dental Certificates.
What We're Looking For
- Licensure as a Dentist in accordance with Chapter 466, Florida Statutes.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary: $158,050.36 annually.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position located at the Florida Department of Health in Okaloosa County, Crestview Dental Clinic.
