Responsibilities
- Evolve the procurement data foundation to be robust, scalable, and aligned with Novo Nordisk’s data strategy.
- Design and implement a medallion-style data model with procurement domain experts to establish a single source of truth for procurement data, ensuring high-quality, governed access for accurate downstream analytics and consumption
- Establish a streamlined architecture and define and enforce backend and frontend best practices covering version control, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, automated testing etc.
- Create comprehensive documentation to foster data literacy and enable procurement users to access high-quality data through built solutions or self-service.
- Own upstream and downstream integrations for the data foundation, delivering reliable data pipelines between the foundation and both in-house and third-party procurement systems.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
- + 10 years’ experience in the data domain, including extensive experience in data engineering and enabling analytics, with a proven track record of designing large-scale enterprise architectures and remaining hands-on while owning end-to-end data solutions.
- Extensive expertise with the Azure data stack (Databricks and Azure Data Factory etc.) and integrating backend systems with Power BI/Fabric analytics workflows. Experience enabling ML/AI on Azure is a plus.
- Deep experience in data modelling, including designing and implementing medallion or layered data architectures and delivering single source of truth data models for business domains.
- Expert-level skills in SQL, Python for large-scale data processing and transformation. Practical experience with CI/CD for data pipelines, version control, automated testing, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Strong communication skills and a proven ability to translate stakeholder requirements into robust technical data solutions, collaborating effectively with BI, AI, systems, and process professionals to deliver scalable data solutions.

- Experience working with procurement data is a strong plus.

Team size: 500 employees. Structure: Corporate Procurement is the Centre of Excellence for procurement in Novo Nordisk. We are responsible for the global procurement strategy, processes, and systems. We negotiate contracts covering more than DKK 80 billion of Novo Nordisk’s spend. Global Procurement has 500 employees around the world with the largest hubs in Denmark, India and the US.
