Lumen Technologies is hiring a Senior Customer Solutions Engineer to deliver end‑to‑end solutions for customer orders by engineering the required wavelength and Ethernet capacity. This role focuses on interpreting customer specifications and collaborating across internal teams to develop and execute plans that resolve network capacity needs.

What You'll Do

• Perform detailed and complex solutioning for Wavelength and Ethernet customer orders.
• Trigger projects utilizing the most feasible, practical, and economical means.
• Perform engineering work and applied research, development, and design of new projects.
• Analyze complex Wavelength and Ethernet transport network systems and/or customer network environments.
• Resolve difficult interoperability problems to obtain operation across all platforms.
• Configure systems to user environments and support hardware/software acquisition.
• Act as a mentor or provide work leadership for lower‑level employees.

What We're Looking For

• A Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with the Ciena 6500 DWDM system and designing DWDM system plans.
• SQL experience.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

• Location Based Pay Ranges: $84,629 - $112,838 in AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, WY. $88,860 - $118,480 in CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, RI. $93,092 - $124,122 in AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, WA.
