What You'll Do
Oversee the administration, configuration, and ongoing support of OpenText Content Server, ensuring system stability, security, and high availability. Lead upgrades, patches, and environment refreshes while diagnosing and resolving installation and performance issues. Optimize system configurations and database queries to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Design and execute content migrations using tools like OpenText Migration Center and REST APIs, ensuring data integrity through accurate metadata mapping and validation. Automate migration workflows using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or SQL, and resolve complex transfer issues including corrupted files or permission mismatches.
Configure user roles, access controls, and permissions across integrated systems to maintain compliance and security. Support integration with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Windchill, and Workday, aligning content workflows with business needs. Monitor system health, implement disaster recovery plans, and maintain robust backup processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience administering OpenText Content Server or similar enterprise content management systems
- Familiarity with OpenText Extended ECM, Archive Center, and workflow configuration
- Solid understanding of SQL for database management and query optimization
- Experience with data migration tools, validation methods, and metadata mapping
- Knowledge of API integrations, including REST APIs, and scripting in Python, Java, or PowerShell
- Understanding of compliance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ITAR as they relate to content governance
- Ability to diagnose technical issues, improve system performance, and communicate solutions to non-technical audiences
- Project management skills with the ability to work independently and across teams
- Intermediate knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- OpenText Content Server Administrator Certification
- 2–5 years of hands-on OpenText administration experience
- Experience with OpenText Records Management, Archiving, or InfoArchive
