What You'll Do
Oversee the configuration and maintenance of ERP inventory systems, ensuring accurate cost setups and timely execution of the annual standard cost roll-up process. Monitor and update labor and overhead rates within MRP systems to reflect current operational realities.
Conduct regular assessments of standard costs and product margins, identifying variances and supporting corrective actions. Reconcile inventory-related general ledger accounts and validate the accuracy of perpetual inventory records through monthly reviews and audit sampling.
Lead the finance team’s coordination of the annual physical inventory, ensuring compliance with internal controls and reporting standards. Prepare and distribute operational performance reports, including scrap, efficiency, productivity, and sales data, while reviewing manual journal entries for accuracy.
Collaborate with procurement to evaluate material cost trends and forecast inflation impacts. Support quarterly E&O analyses and assess plant-reported variances. Maintain up-to-date records of forecast versus actual sales at the finished goods level.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies across tax, trade, and record retention requirements. Develop and maintain documentation for cost accounting procedures, aligning with both US GAAP and MEXGAAP standards.
Requirements
- Hold a degree in Public Accounting or Business Administration
- Have 4–5 years of direct experience in cost accounting
- Demonstrate working knowledge of MRP and ERP systems, with Oracle experience preferred
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and have familiarity with Power BI or Domo
- Understand C-TPAT and OEA compliance standards
- Possess strong analytical abilities, with close attention to detail and organizational discipline
- Be fluent in English and capable of clear communication
- Hold a valid driver’s license and a current visa permitting travel to the U.S.
