Responsibilities
- Advise internal teams on corporate governance and legal compliance
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments on risk mitigation
- Manage external legal counsel when necessary
- Interpret laws and regulations affecting business operations
- Maintain corporate records and governance documentation
- Provide counsel on intellectual property and data privacy issues
- Assist in regulatory filings and reporting obligations
- Monitor changes in relevant legal frameworks
- Develop and deliver legal training programs
- Support compliance with environmental and energy regulations
- Oversee contract lifecycle management processes
- Act as a strategic partner to business units
