About the Role

Brenntag North America, Inc. is hiring a Senior Controller Global Technology to play a central role in our Digital Transformation Roadmap. Reporting to the Director Controlling DDT, you will focus on strategic investments, cost controlling, and building business cases as the main business partner for our commercial platform, supply chain platform, and data & analytics teams.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders from diverse teams to drive optimal outcomes.
  • Develop value cases alongside Digital, Data & Analytics, Supply Chain, and Commercial professionals.
  • Translate business problems and requirements into technical specifications for practical digital solutions.
  • Lead discussions with PL Owners to create understanding and acceptance of business cases, anchoring them in divisional planning.
  • Perform project controlling; monitor project budget, execution, and track value contribution.
  • Conduct monthly reporting on cost development and identify and follow up on budget action items.
  • Serve as the controlling interface into the delivery organization (PMO Transformation office).
  • Provide monthly reporting on project cost development and progress.
  • Manage the invoice process and budget approvals for global projects.
  • Ensure capitalization of Digital and Data & Analytics assets aligns with the Brenntag Group Accounting framework.
  • Support the annual budget planning for Digital, Data, and Technology functions.
  • Improve controlling processes and define standards for the DDT organization.
  • Ensure DDT compliance with processes per Brenntag Global rules of procedure and internal guidelines.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in Finance & Controlling as a Business Controller.
  • A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Controlling, IT, or Business Informatics.
  • Experience with investment calculation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP and HFM.
  • Good knowledge of technology and software tools.
