Brenntag is hiring a Senior Controller Global Technology

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders across departments to achieve optimal financial and operational outcomes.
  • Collaborate with digital, data, and analytics specialists alongside supply chain and commercial teams to build value-driven business cases.
  • Bridge business needs and technical execution by translating requirements into actionable digital solutions.
  • Lead discussions with product line owners to gain alignment and integration of business cases into divisional planning.
  • Oversee project-level financial control, including budget tracking and value realization monitoring.
  • Deliver monthly cost performance reports and follow up on corrective budget actions.
  • Act as the controlling liaison to the transformation project management office.
  • Provide regular updates on project financials and implementation progress.
  • Manage invoice processing and budget authorization for international projects.
  • Ensure proper capitalization of digital and data-related assets in compliance with group accounting standards and documentation rules.
  • Assist in the annual budget preparation for digital, data, and technology functions.
  • Enhance financial controlling practices and establish standardized processes within the DDT unit.
  • Maintain adherence to corporate governance policies and internal DDT procedures.

Occasional travel required to the Essen or Amsterdam office for stakeholder and team meetings.
