Leads quality assurance, quality control, and commissioning activities on construction projects in Bangkok, ensuring compliance with project standards and acting as the primary site contact for commissioning and quality matters.
Responsibilities
- Leads the execution of project quality assurance and commissioning program requirements.
- Ensures stakeholders adhere to quality and commissioning obligations defined in the general contractor’s QA/QC Plan, commissioning agent’s Commissioning Plan, and Project Manual.
- Acts as the main point of contact for all quality and commissioning-related matters for DCS, DCOps, and HWops teams.
- Actively participates in quality and commissioning meetings throughout the project lifecycle.
- Attends project coordination meetings as needed to support integration of quality and commissioning goals.
- Supports DCS in managing on-site commissioning agent resources.
- Reviews and validates monthly invoices in coordination with DCS, verifying percentage of work completed and Schedule of Values.
- Evaluates proposed change orders from commissioning agents for validity and scope alignment.
- Reviews project documents such as drawings, RFIs, and submittals for compliance and completeness.
- Assesses vendor and subcontractor quality control plans and method statements for adequacy and adherence to standards.
- Reviews finalized quality control documentation to confirm proper execution and recordkeeping.
- Monitors factory witness testing and factory acceptance testing processes.
- Ensures required parties attend factory witness tests.
- Verifies that all necessary documentation is submitted for factory acceptance tests.
- Participates in factory witness tests when required and directed by DCS.
- Ensures all quality and commissioning issues are logged in BIM360 Field 2.0.
- Tracks resolution of identified issues to ensure timely and satisfactory closure.
- Escalates unresolved issues to DCS and DCOps as needed.
- Supports the commissioning agent in aligning quality and commissioning tasks with the general contractor’s master schedule.
- Attends weekly or monthly schedule review meetings to monitor progress.
- Reports on schedule delays and escalates concerns to DCS when necessary.
- Ensures the commissioning Level 2–Level 3 checklist tagging matrix includes planned dates that match the master schedule.
- Tracks actual completion dates as checklists are populated.
- Escalates schedule slippages to DCS and QCx teams.
- Monitors the overall Level 2–Level 3 commissioning process and raises concerns to DCS and QCx as appropriate.
Requirements
- Fluent in Thai language.
- Has prior experience managing similar quality and commissioning programs in Thailand.
- Capable of working without any legal or logistical work restrictions.
