About the Role
The role involves developing and validating power models for cutting-edge integrated circuits, supporting design teams with accurate simulation frameworks, and improving power efficiency across multiple technology nodes.
Responsibilities
- Develop dynamic and static power models for complex circuit blocks
- Collaborate with design teams to integrate power simulation into sign-off flows
- Analyze power consumption across multiple operating conditions and process corners
- Create and maintain simulation environments for power characterization
- Support timing and power correlation across physical design stages
- Optimize power models for accuracy and runtime efficiency
- Work closely with process technology teams to incorporate foundry data
- Diagnose and resolve discrepancies in power estimation
- Drive automation of power modeling workflows
- Contribute to low-power design methodologies
- Validate power models against silicon measurements
- Improve simulation accuracy through statistical and analytical techniques
- Document modeling assumptions and methodologies
- Mentor junior engineers in power simulation best practices
- Participate in cross-team technical reviews
- Ensure compliance with design-for-test and reliability requirements
- Integrate power models into machine learning-based design tools
- Support power sign-off for tapeout milestones
- Evaluate new simulation tools and methodologies
- Contribute to power model standardization across design teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with 7nm or smaller process nodes
- Hands-on experience with silicon debug and characterization
- Exposure to machine learning frameworks for modeling
- Prior work on GPU or AI accelerator power modeling
- Experience with cloud-scale simulation infrastructure
- Contributions to power modeling standards within teams
- Tool development for power analysis automation
- Publications or patents in circuit or power modeling
- Familiarity with advanced packaging technologies
