Responsibilities
- Construct intricate multi-physics simulations independently, covering geometry preparation, mesh generation, simulation execution, post-processing, and validation using experimental data across single-phase, multiphase, and CFD-DEM coupled systems.
- Create and verify DEM simulations for granular and particle-laden flows, including fluidized beds, pneumatic transport, grinding mills, aerosols, suspensions, and coating applications, using accurate contact laws, particle size distributions, and coupling techniques.
- Develop reliable parametric CAD models integrated with automated simulation pipelines to enable sophisticated design optimization and design of experiments over extensive parameter ranges.
- Collaborate with clients to resolve challenging engineering problems using advanced simulation and artificial intelligence methods, delivering clear insights, practical recommendations, and efficient solutions within project timelines.
- Bridge computer-aided engineering and data science by generating high-fidelity simulation datasets for training machine learning and deep learning surrogate models, using intelligent sampling to efficiently explore design spaces.
- Utilize cloud-based computing via Flux and on-site HPC infrastructure to enhance high-resolution modeling performance, implementing non-standard configurations to achieve scalable computational improvements.
- Refine engineering methodologies by adjusting simulation setups and outputs to better support the creation of deep learning surrogates and physics-informed machine learning models.
- Lead projects while actively mentoring junior engineers, fostering a collaborative environment grounded in technical rigor and continuous development.
- Travel internationally (including North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania) up to 2–3 weeks per quarter to collaborate in person with clients on joint solution development.
