About the Role
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality care and support to children and young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs. This position involves leading by example, mentoring team members, and ensuring a safe, structured, and positive living environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide consistent, compassionate care to children with complex needs
- Support the development of individual care plans and contribute to progress reviews
- Model positive behavior and emotional regulation techniques
- Supervise and guide junior staff to maintain high standards of practice
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and procedures
- Promote independence and life skills through daily routines
- Respond effectively to challenging behaviors using approved strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely records of incidents and interventions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including therapists and educators
- Uphold health and safety standards across residential settings
- Participate in training and professional development activities
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in care delivery
- Ensure all documentation meets regulatory requirements
- Support family engagement and transition planning
- Assist in the implementation of therapeutic programs
- Foster a stable and nurturing environment for all residents
- Monitor and report on physical and emotional well-being
- Encourage participation in educational and recreational activities
- Lead shift operations and delegate tasks as needed
- Maintain professional boundaries and ethical standards
- Respond to emergencies following established protocols

- Support new staff induction and on-the-job learning
