Beth Israel Lahey Health is hiring a Senior Business Intelligence Developer - Epic Reporting (Remote)

About the Role

This role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing business intelligence solutions with a focus on Epic applications. The developer will collaborate with clinical and administrative stakeholders to deliver actionable insights through dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build advanced reporting tools using Epic Cabernet and Cogito
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for reporting solutions
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to understand data needs and reporting goals
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and ad hoc reports
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting platforms
  • Support data governance and compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Optimize report performance and query efficiency
  • Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues in production environments
  • Document reporting logic, data sources, and system configurations
  • Participate in testing and validation of new Epic system upgrades
  • Integrate data from multiple source systems into unified reporting views
  • Provide training and support to end users on reporting tools
  • Stay current with Epic reporting capabilities and industry best practices
  • Lead reporting initiatives across departments and service lines
  • Mentor junior developers and share technical expertise
  • Work within Agile project teams to deliver reporting functionality
  • Ensure alignment of reports with organizational KPIs and strategic goals
  • Maintain security protocols for sensitive health information
  • Support regulatory reporting requirements including quality measures
  • Collaborate with IT and data warehouse teams on data integration
  • Evaluate new reporting technologies and methodologies
  • Drive continuous improvement in analytics delivery
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Contribute to enterprise data standards and naming conventions
  • Support go-live activities for new reporting modules
