Langan is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to join its team in Irvine, California. You will play a critical role in developing and executing strategies to drive growth across Southern California, primarily focusing on Los Angeles and Orange Counties. This position involves collaborating closely with leadership and technical teams to effectively position the firm's engineering and environmental services to clients.
What You'll Do
- Research, identify, and pursue new business opportunities within the Southern California AEC market, emphasizing Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects, owners, developers, architects, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
- Serve as a connector between clients and Langan's technical and leadership teams, aligning client needs with the firm's expertise.
- Lead and support strategic initiatives, including market analysis, opportunity tracking, and pursuit planning.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop targeted strategies and messaging for priority clients and markets.
- Support proposal and presentation efforts, including go/no-go evaluations and coordination of internal resources.
- Represent Langan at industry, professional, and networking events to enhance brand visibility.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and client development plans to identify growth opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of business development activities, contacts, and opportunities using CRM tools.
- Contribute to overall growth objectives by supporting cross-selling and fostering collaboration across offices.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Design Engineering, Environmental Services, or a related field such as engineering or environmental sciences.
- 10+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development in the architectural, engineering, construction, or real estate industry.
- Strong project management background.
- In-depth knowledge of marketing and strategic business development.
- Superior interpersonal and persuasive presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; Adobe Acrobat/Reader, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
- Active participation in local professional organizations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment with multiple deadlines.

- Salary range: $112,500 - $171,000.
