Weekday is hiring a Senior Business Development Manager to identify, engage, and close new business opportunities within the SaaS ecosystem. You will be instrumental in building and scaling our customer base, driving revenue, and expanding market share by promoting our solutions to mid-market and enterprise clients.
What You'll Do
- Lead the end-to-end sales cycle from identification and qualification to pitching and closing new business opportunities across target industries.
- Strategically identify potential clients through market research, networking, and outbound campaigns.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of leads using CRM tools and ensure timely follow-ups.
- Conduct impactful product demos, understand customer pain points, and offer tailored SaaS solutions.
- Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to align sales strategies and ensure seamless client onboarding.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to leadership, highlighting pipeline health and key metrics.
- Lead pricing discussions, proposal development, and contract negotiations to close high-value deals.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities with existing clients and develop strategies to expand account value.
What We're Looking For
- 6–10 years of experience in B2B sales, with at least 4+ years in SaaS or technology-based solution selling.
- Proven history of consistently exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in competitive markets.
- Existing relationships in relevant industries that can be leveraged for quick client acquisition.
- Strong understanding of consultative selling, solution selling, and enterprise sales methodologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and C-level executives.
- Hands-on experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), lead generation platforms, and sales automation tools.
- Ability to use data to drive decisions, optimize sales processes, and identify growth opportunities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment with changing priorities and evolving targets.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in scaling SaaS products or working with early-stage SaaS companies.
- Exposure to international markets or global SaaS sales.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
