Responsibilities
- Develop and implement B2B outreach strategies to secure long-term purchase agreements and immediate sales for premium durable carbon removal credits.
- Identify and pursue new buyer opportunities, managing the entire sales process from initial contact to final agreement, including proposal development, stakeholder engagement, and due diligence.
- Build strong networks and forge new partnerships with key industry players to enhance sales, market presence, and industry influence.
- Act as a representative at industry conferences, events, and working groups, advocating for regulatory changes, fostering relationships, and providing market insights to internal teams.
- Analyze market trends and client needs to create innovative solutions in collaboration with product and communications teams.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the diverse and expanding portfolio of durable carbon removal technologies and effectively communicate their importance to various stakeholders.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to serve as a trusted advisor to corporate clients.
- Facilitate collaboration between organizations, aligning stakeholders, priorities, and execution.
Requirements
- Proven track record of 5+ years in consultative business development and B2B sales roles, preferably in carbon markets, consulting, ESG, or financial services.
- Familiarity with carbon markets and climate-related guidelines and frameworks; prior experience and an established network in the carbon (removal) market are highly valued.
- Strong negotiation skills, commercial acumen, and expertise in effective contract management.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and meet individual client needs.
- Proven expertise in building successful channel sales and partnerships.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Proficiency in Spanish and/or French.

Required
- You have 5+ years of successful professional track record in consultative Business Development and B2B Sales roles, ideally in carbon markets, consulting, ESG, or financial services.
- You are familiar with carbon markets and climate related guidances and frameworks; prior experience and an existing network in the carbon (removal) market are a strong asset.
- You are proficient in negotiation, complemented by a keen commercial acumen and a deep understanding of effective contract management.
- You have a keen interest in understanding a client's individual needs and making them successful.
- You’ve demonstrated expertise in building successful channel sales and partnerships.
- You are an effective and captivating communicator, both in verbal and written communication.
Preferred
Spanish and/or French are a plus.
