AECON - Aecon Group Inc. is hiring a Senior Business Analyst to drive internal projects centered on process reengineering and automation. In this role, you will support the business through changes associated with implementing new solutions, ensuring alignment with project management best practices.
What You'll Do
- Execute assignments using established project management methodologies (PMBOK).
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency using technology, strategy, and analytics.
- Facilitate business process reengineering workshops to streamline operations and recommend future state processes.
- Organize task mining initiatives and process walkthroughs to document current process flows.
- Gather, document, and analyze business requirements through interviews and group discussions, proposing potential solutions.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders during requirements gathering and testing phases.
- Create or improve documentation such as procedures, workflows, and user guides, recommending controls by identifying issues.
- Assess potential process automation candidates with stakeholders and provide summary documentation of assessments.
- Apply sound analysis and critical thinking to evaluate ideas and outcomes, offering recommendations.
- Present findings in a clear, visually engaging format for stakeholders.
- Engage appropriate technical teams throughout projects to ensure adherence to standards.
- Deliver regular updates to project managers, stakeholders, and leadership to manage expectations.
- Support change management plans in collaboration with the Business Readiness team.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to the business for implemented changes.
- Assist with operational issues, including troubleshooting production support and documenting change requests.
- Provide technical direction and problem-solving assistance to colleagues.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5 years or more in a Business Analyst role.
