State Street is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to bridge client needs and technical development for the CRD Investment Management System. You will become a product expert, ensuring the software effectively supports trading and front office workflows while improving the overall client experience and strategic product position.
What You'll Do
- Apply detailed knowledge of business requirements and workflows to assist in product development.
- Research and produce business and technical requirement documents.
- Provide product expertise support to various internal parties to ensure the product meets customer expectations.
- Work directly with customers and the product management team to gather product requirements and develop feature specifications.
- Partner with development teams to help develop, implement, and refine features.
- Plan and schedule validation tasks, provide hands-on manual tests, and develop verification plans and processes.
- Provide feedback on product performance and review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide client beta testing support and train personnel on the capabilities of new product releases.
- Assist with the management of project schedules and deliverables.
- Assist implementation and support teams to resolve escalated client issues.
- Actively participate in the Agile software development process, adhering to the CRD Scrum Methodology.
- Participate in group testing activities as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of software development lifecycle experience.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Advanced writing skills with the ability to abstract and summarize highly detailed information.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to reconcile conflicting data.
- Ability to translate customer business needs into application requirements.
- Strong technical background.
- Experience with middle office investment management functions.
- Demonstrated planning and scheduling skills.
- Experience, curiosity, and interest in financial markets, trading, and instrument lifecycles.
- Demonstrated ability translating business requirements into comprehensive functional and technical product specification documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with great attention to detail.
- BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Business with an MIS background.
Nice to Have
- Agile methodologies experience.
- Knowledge in one or more CRD functional financial areas.
- MS or MBA degree.
