Role Overview
A well-established advisory practice is looking for a seasoned Senior Business Analyst to drive strategic change across banking and financial services. This role focuses on reimagining customer experiences and optimizing business operations through digital innovation, process redesign, and data-informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define objectives, clarify challenges, and establish the boundaries of transformation initiatives
- Conduct interviews with product owners to document current workflows and co-create future-state processes centered on customer needs
- Create detailed process models and identify actionable areas for efficiency, digitization, and service enhancement
- Apply customer experience tools such as personas and journey mapping to visualize interactions and pain points
- Collect and interpret business metrics to build evidence-based cases for change
- Research industry benchmarks to inform modern operating models and digital strategies
- Advise teams on emerging trends and best practices in financial services delivery
- Work closely with product and technology teams to translate business needs into clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Support a performance-driven culture by contributing to measurement frameworks and continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should bring over a decade of business analysis experience within financial services, with a strong foundation in both strategic planning and technical delivery. Familiarity with design thinking, facilitation techniques, and stakeholder alignment is essential. The role requires proven ability in business case development, requirements elicitation, and end-to-end project leadership—from concept through delivery.
Proficiency in process modeling and experience working across Agile and traditional waterfall environments are required. A background that blends business insight with technological understanding is highly valued. Strong communication skills, collaborative instincts, and a commitment to best practices are central to success in this position.
Preferred Background
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with honors (2:1 or above) is preferred. Advanced qualifications such as a master’s degree are considered an asset.
