Drive government sales and community impact in a role where your performance directly expands public access to outdoor recreation. As a Territory Sales Manager, you'll lead end-to-end sales cycles across a defined Midwest region, focusing on municipalities, parks & recreation departments, and public agencies.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow your territory by identifying, engaging, and converting public-sector clients.
- Guide prospects through every stage—from initial outreach and product demonstrations to proposal development, negotiation, contracting, and handoff for implementation.
- Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders including city administrators, parks directors, procurement officers, and community partners.
- Navigate government procurement with confidence, managing RFPs, vendor registration, budget timelines, and compliance requirements.
- Articulate the value of self-service rental solutions by aligning them with community priorities such as tourism, revenue generation, equity of access, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and leadership teams to ensure successful program launches and long-term partner satisfaction.
- Grow existing accounts by expanding into new locations, adding equipment categories, and securing renewals.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in full-cycle sales within the public sector or government space.
- Comfort and credibility when engaging with municipal and agency decision-makers.
- Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
- Familiarity with government purchasing processes, including RFPs, budget cycles, and vendor onboarding.
- Self-driven and organized, with a track record of creating momentum and closing deals independently.
- Passion for mission-driven work that improves access to outdoor recreation and strengthens communities.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms—specifically HubSpot—and using data to inform sales strategy.
Compensation & Work Environment
This is a hybrid role based in Indianapolis, IN, with flexibility to work remotely while maintaining in-office collaboration as needed. You'll earn a base salary of $45,000–$60,000, with on-target earnings reaching $80,000–$100,000+ through an uncapped 4% commission. A guaranteed monthly draw supports your ramp period during the first four months.
