About the Role
This position involves leading the development and coordination of mechanical BIM models for mission-critical data center environments, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integration across multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed mechanical BIM models for data center projects
- Coordinate design elements across disciplines to ensure integration
- Ensure models comply with project specifications and standards
- Produce construction documentation from BIM models
- Support clash detection and resolution in coordinated models
- Collaborate with engineers and designers during design development
- Maintain model accuracy throughout project lifecycle
- Implement modeling best practices and quality control processes
- Work with project teams to resolve design conflicts
- Deliver models that support fabrication and construction needs
- Participate in design reviews and coordination meetings
- Integrate architectural and structural inputs into mechanical models
- Manage model organization and layer standards
- Support project scheduling with modeling deliverables
- Ensure adherence to industry and client-specific BIM protocols
- Utilize BIM software for 3D modeling and documentation
- Assist in developing modeling templates and standards
- Provide input on system routing and spatial planning
- Review shop drawings for alignment with design intent
- Support as-built modeling and handover documentation
- Maintain consistent communication with project stakeholders
- Troubleshoot modeling software issues as needed
- Ensure data integrity across model versions
