Nextech is hiring a Senior Billing Analyst to own and optimize our billing operations. In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely invoicing while providing expert analysis and support to internal teams. You will be a key player in our Accounting & Finance department, driving process improvements and resolving complex billing challenges.
What You'll Do
- Manage full-cycle billing processes, including generating invoices, applying payments, and processing adjustments.
- Analyze billing data to ensure accuracy, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Finance teams to resolve complex billing issues.
- Develop and maintain billing reports and dashboards to track key metrics and support decision-making.
- Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts receivable and revenue recognition.
- Identify opportunities to streamline billing operations and enhance system automation.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a similar financial role.
- Proven experience with complex billing systems and large customer datasets.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas).
Nice to Have
- Experience with SaaS billing models and revenue recognition principles (ASC 606).
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar platforms.
- Experience working in a remote environment with cross-functional teams.
