Malaysia Remote (Country)

MoneyHero Group is hiring a Senior Associate, People Operations

This fully remote role supports payroll and people operations for Malaysia and Singapore within a globally distributed organization. You will play a central part in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely processing of payroll and employee data, while managing key aspects of the employee lifecycle across regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end payroll operations for Malaysia and Singapore, working closely with internal stakeholders and an Employer of Record (EOR) partner to ensure precision and confidentiality each cycle.
  • Process monthly payroll components—including base pay, bonuses, statutory deductions, and off-cycle adjustments—while maintaining strict alignment between HR systems and payroll records.
  • Administer employee benefits, including insurance, allowances, and mandatory contributions, in line with local laws and company policy.
  • Manage work pass applications and renewals for Singapore, covering Employment Passes, S Passes, and Dependant Passes in coordination with authorities and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements: in Malaysia, this includes EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and PCB; in Singapore, CPF, IRAS, and MOM regulations.
  • Process final settlements for departing employees, including pro-rated wages, leave encashment, and tax clearance documentation.
  • Respond to employee inquiries about payslips, deductions, offboarding payments, and benefits with clarity and professionalism.
  • Coordinate with the EOR provider on payroll timelines, data submissions, and documentation to maintain smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and offer letters in Workday, ensuring data integrity throughout the employment journey.
  • Orchestrate onboarding and offboarding workflows, including IT setup, equipment logistics, and orientation planning, to support a seamless employee experience.
  • Support employment changes such as probation reviews, transfers, and contract updates, including documentation and system updates.
  • Ensure timely submission of all statutory filings and support audits or regulatory requests with complete, organized records.
  • Provide operational support during performance cycles, including data consolidation and coordination with HR and management teams.
  • Manage office logistics including pantry supplies, couriers, vendor relationships, and coordination with building management for facilities and security.
  • Support employee engagement through internal events and regional initiatives.
  • Assist with enrollment, claims, and changes related to company-sponsored benefits, including insurance and wellness programs.
  • Maintain up-to-date records on benefits eligibility and usage, ensuring compliance with local regulations and internal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with brokers, third-party administrators, and vendors to resolve claims and improve service delivery.
  • Monitor benefit utilization, identify trends, and support periodic reviews to maintain plan effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Guide employees on benefit options and assist with required documentation for claims or updates.
  • Ensure Workday data accuracy by synchronizing updates with external platforms like Multiplier and minimizing manual processes through automation.
  • Drive process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and supporting system enhancements across HR operations.
  • Support audits and reporting by maintaining accessible, complete, and compliant documentation.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify gaps in systems or workflows and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality and data protection standards when handling sensitive employee information.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in HR operations or payroll, preferably in a multi-country or regional context.
  • In-depth understanding of payroll regulations and statutory filings in Malaysia and Singapore, including experience with EOR platforms.
  • Proficient in Excel, with experience using formulas, pivot tables, and functions for reconciliation and reporting.
