Ingram Micro is looking for a Senior Associate, Inside Sales to sell and renew our products and services to an assigned territory, industry, or account list. You’ll focus on lead qualification, prospecting, and acquiring new customers while retaining and growing an existing base. Come join our team where you’ll make technology happen in surprising ways.
What You'll Do
- Sell or renew company products and services via telephone or electronic means to your assigned territory, industry, or accounts.
- Generate prospective customers through cold calling and qualify or follow up with sales leads.
- Conduct multichannel, inbound, and outbound sales activities.
- Act as the sole sales representative for assigned territory, industry, accounts, or products.
- Establish and maintain relationships with channel partners.
- Represent the company to the customer and the customer to the company in sales-oriented activities.
- Support back-end activities such as order processing, quotation generation, and delivery follow-up.
- Keep up-to-date knowledge of the industry and the company's competitive posture.
- Prepare activity and forecast reports as requested.
- May direct customers to website or other company resources for information.
- May overlay to the field sales force, supporting field initiatives and sharing a quota.
- May train, delegate, and review the work of lower-level employees.
- Make recommendations for new procedures and determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
- Act as a lead, mentor, facilitator, or team leader.
What We're Looking For
- A two-year college degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of five years of functional experience.
- OR a HS diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of functional experience, including 4 years of position-specific experience.
- Thorough knowledge of company products, systems, and services.
- Technical knowledge of products, systems, and services.
- Skilled specialist in the job area.
- Highly proficient in a broad range of activities related to the job.
- Ability to work on complex assignments requiring independent action and high initiative.
- Ability to analyze, judge, and resolve non-routine problems.
Team & Environment
You may overlay to the field sales force and may act as a lead or mentor to more junior personnel.
