Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development of forest carbon initiatives, ensuring adherence to carbon registry standards and strategic business goals.
- Design and implement project execution plans, identifying key analytical pathways and innovative approaches.
- Provide strategic guidance to align projects with both financial and ecological outcomes.
- Manage cross-functional teams through all stages of project lifecycle, including planning, implementation, and monitoring.
- Coordinate with internal groups such as forestry, resource support, planning, acquisitions, and client management teams.
- Oversee financial aspects including budgeting, accounting, modeling, and return projections using discounted cash flow analysis.
- Ensure clear communication of project workflows, timelines, and expectations across stakeholders.
- Represent the organization in external engagements with clients, communities, and industry partners.
- Deliver project updates, risks, and milestones during executive leadership meetings.
- Conduct feasibility studies, establish baseline scenarios, and apply spatial data analysis to assess project potential.
- Utilize advanced data analytics, geospatial technologies, and AI-powered tools to improve efficiency and decision-making.
- Act as primary contact with third-party verification bodies and internal technical teams.
- Support marketing and sales activities for carbon credits, including client outreach and positioning of project results.
- Contribute to the formation of policies and strategies related to forest carbon and nature-based climate solutions.
- Research new opportunities in forest carbon and disseminate technical knowledge internally and across peer networks.
- Ensure all activities comply with internal governance, fiduciary responsibilities, and environmental standards.
- Assist in shaping long-term strategies for nature-based solutions and carbon market participation.
- Undertake additional duties as required to advance project and strategic objectives.
