Walkers, a leading international law firm, is seeking an ambitious and technically strong Senior Associate to join its dynamic and market-leading Banking and Finance team in Jersey. You will work on behalf of global blue-chip clients and intermediaries, helping to build out and service the Jersey B&F business as part of the firm's expansion in the Channel Islands.
What You'll Do
- Serve as an Associate in the firm's Banking and Finance Practice in Jersey.
- Provide technically sound advice and a highly responsive service externally to clients and internally to colleagues, senior counsel, and partners.
- Manage files in accordance with the firm's requirements, expectations, and practices.
- Participate in the development of the practice’s know-how, sharing knowledge and actively participating in conferences, seminars, client presentations, and internal training.
- Maintain a sustained record of revenue generation and profitability, following recommended billing rates, managing costs appropriately, and ensuring personal utilization meets expectations.
- Adhere to the firm's values and professional ethics.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years PQE.
- Excellent academics.
- Ambitious and commercially driven mindset.
- Solid legal skills with a competent understanding of relevant market and client industries and technical knowledge of the relevant law.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
