Role OverviewA globally recognized offshore legal practice is looking for a capable and driven lawyer with at least five years of post-qualification experience to join its established Banking and Finance team in Jersey. This role supports a broad portfolio of international clients and plays a key part in advancing the firm’s financial services practice across the Channel Islands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate, practical legal guidance to clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring responsiveness and alignment with firm standards.
  • Oversee case files in compliance with internal protocols, maintaining organization and efficiency throughout the lifecycle of each matter.
  • Contribute to the growth of the team’s expertise by engaging in knowledge development, client-facing events, and internal education initiatives.
  • Support financial performance by meeting utilization targets, managing billing practices, and contributing to sustainable revenue outcomes.
  • Uphold the firm’s ethical standards and professional conduct in all client and internal interactions.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Admitted legal professional with a minimum of five years of post-qualification experience.
  • Demonstrated academic excellence and a strong foundation in banking and finance law.
  • Commercial mindset with a proactive approach to client service and practice development.
  • Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with the regulatory and market environments relevant to financial services.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly.
