Drive regional growth as a Regional Business Development Manager, leading the expansion of payment solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises in South Yorkshire and the Midlands. This fully remote role centers on building a self-sourced sales pipeline, meeting monthly targets, and growing market presence through proactive outreach and local networking.
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently meet and exceed monthly sales goals in line with company strategy
- Develop and execute a monthly business plan to identify new opportunities and increase market share
- Generate and manage a robust pipeline of leads using Salesforce, focusing on consultative, needs-based selling
- Establish and nurture relationships within the local business community through forums, events, and introducer networks
- Apply a structured sales methodology to assess client needs, recommend tailored solutions, and negotiate favorable terms
- Sell a range of payment products—including in-person, integrated POS, and e-commerce systems—to businesses processing £250k–£3M annually in card transactions
- Identify cross-sell opportunities while adhering to pricing guidelines and compliance standards
- Complete customer documentation accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance and first-time accuracy
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and ensure smooth onboarding
- Report on regional trends, competitor activity, customer feedback, and product performance
- Support onboarding and mentoring of new team members as needed
Qualifications and Skills
- Full UK driving license required
- Proven track record in B2B field sales, particularly in merchant services
- Experience selling to mid-market businesses and engaging C-level decision-makers
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and communication abilities
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment
- Familiarity with structured sales methodologies and CRM platforms, particularly Salesforce
- Knowledge of the payments industry and market dynamics
Work Environment
This is a fully remote position serving South Yorkshire and the Midlands. You’ll operate with autonomy while remaining connected to regional leadership and team objectives. The role requires regular local travel to meet clients and attend events.
