As a Senior Area Business Manager, you will drive commercial success for the first and only FDA-approved treatment for Rett syndrome in both pediatric and adult patients. Reporting to the Regional Business Leader, you’ll shape and execute strategic plans tailored to your territory, ensuring alignment with national sales objectives and compliance standards.
Build Trusted Clinical Partnerships
You will engage neurologists, pediatric specialists, and multidisciplinary care teams, delivering MLR-approved educational content and disease-state insights. Your role is to equip providers with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed treatment decisions, supporting timely patient starts and ongoing therapy management.
Expand Market Impact Through Advocacy and Insight
Develop strong relationships with key opinion leaders and centers of excellence to increase awareness and understanding of the therapy. Represent the brand at medical conferences, patient advocacy events, and weekend meetings, staying current on clinical developments and market dynamics.
Execute with Precision and Compliance
- Design and implement data-driven business plans to exceed performance targets
- Conduct high-quality field interactions in compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve access and reimbursement challenges
- Travel up to 80% of the time, including overnight and air travel, with flexibility for after-hours responsibilities
- Maintain eligibility for a company-provided vehicle and adhere to all safety and compliance protocols
Qualifications and Expectations
A bachelor’s degree is required, along with eight years of pharmaceutical sales experience—five in specialty markets, particularly rare diseases or CNS/neurology. Candidates must reside within their assigned territory and within reach of a major airport. Life sciences background and experience in pediatric neurology or specialty access models are valued. Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration and strategic planning is essential.
